About the Item

A vintage hand-knotted "Tulu" (Turkish word for thick, soft piled rugs) rug from Central Turkey. These charming small rugs with contemporary designs and lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until late 1960s. Today these decorative rugs are ideal for modern decor and they are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art. Size: 4.2 x 5.6 ft.
